In honor of International Sculpture Day, here are a few in our area. General Alfred Beckley, founder of the City of Beckley-statue created by Jeff Gallimore; Thinker/reader at the library; totem pole by Mark Blumenstein at the Youth Museum; miner at Exhibition Mine; several at Mountain State Miniature Golf; Tamarack outdoor art gallery; bike wheel tree by PW; WWHS Flying Eagle; and lion BPD memorial. Didn’t make to the Summit Scout camp to take photos of statues by Jamie Lester, one of WV’s most famous sculpture artists. Also, residents on Conway Street display numerous statues of animals – not pictured. #ISDay #beckleywv
