The Appalachian Hope Project is a youth organization that organizes youth support groups for at-risk teens and youth in the foster care system here in WV. Our mission is to get these teens out doing positive productive activities and learning essential life skills to promote creativity, mental health wellness, prevent unhealthy behaviors, and build positive relationships. We are working with DHHR to establish a group in all 55 WV counties by 2025.
We are planning a summer youth festival called The Appalachian Hope Festival on August 7th at Burning Rock Off-Road Park. This is a free event for the community but we will also be bringing teens from foster homes and youth care facilities from across the state. We want to feature West Virginia Crafters, Business Owners, Artists, Musicians, youth groups, teen leaders, and other organizations that are trying to make a positive impact on the WV foster care system. We want to set up games, activities, workshops, and showcases for teens and their families to participate in. We will also be raffling off 1 day of riding for 4 people and 1 night of camping at Burning Rock Off-Road Park to fundraise for our program expansion.

We would absolutely love to have you at this event! Tickets are free but do need to be reserved, as we monitor covid cases and regulations up to the event tickets may be limited. We have lots of vendor spaces still available, nonfood $50 and food $100. There are lots of sponsorship opportunities for WV Business Owners, these sponsorships include lots of advertising.
