On the evening on 9/11 starting at dusk, there will be the annual Parade of Lights, which will start at Independence Middle School, travel Robert C Byrd Drive from Sophia to downtown Beckley (Neville, Heber, Main, Prince) and back on Byrd Drive to end on Ragland Road at the Linda K Epling Stadium (no ending ceremony). This is a free event and folks are encouraged to watch along the route at a safe distance.
