2024 Irish / Celtic Week in Beckley schedule:

Sunday, March 10 – Irish/Celtic-themed Concert & Dancers at The Raleigh Playhouse & Theatre:
Doors open at 1:30 pm – Black Knight’s Pepperoni rolls and Reuben rolls, along with the theatre’s popcorn, candy, and drinks available for purchase before the show and during intermission.
2:00-2:55 pm – Irish/Celtic-themed Concert and Sing-along with Patrick O’Flaherty (free admission, donations accepted for Bill Withers Statue) – Sponsored by the Irish

Heritage Festival /WV Division of Culture & History grant)
3:15 – 3:45 pm – Lincoln County Cloggers dance performance – free

Tuesday, March 12 – Friday, March 15 – Irish / Celtic Restaurant Specials at local restaurants: Lunch specials at Fruits of Labor and Beckley’s Historic Black Knight. McDonald’s selling Shamrock Shakes & McFlurries.

Tuesday, March 12 – St. Patrick’s Day themed Storytime for toddlers (aged 2 and under) at the Raleigh County Library, 10:30 am.

Wednesday, March 13 – St. Patrick’s Day themed Storytime (for ages 3-6 years old) at the Raleigh County Library, 10:30 am or 1:00 pm.

Friday, March 15 – St. Patrick’s themed dinner specials at Fruits of Labor (4:30, 5:45, and 7 pm) – reservations suggested 304-252-9421.

Friday, March 15th at 6 pm, Beckley Art Center opening reception for a green-themed art exhibition titled “Bringing in the Green”. This is a free event and all ages are welcome!

Friday, March 15th at 7pm – Beckley Art Center will be having a square dance with live Irish music. This will be open to all ages.

Saturday, March 16 – Shamrock Craft at the Youth Museum, 10 am – noon

Saturday, March 16 – Irish Road Bowling fun at New River Park, 11 am – noon, introduction to road bowling and a chance to make throws around the paved circle at the park.

Sunday, March 17 – Enjoy St. Patrick’s Day activities at local restaurants – check out specials at Fosters on Main Street – opening on Sunday at 1 pm – Irish eats all day and night – Beckley’s Traditional St. Patrick’s Day Watering Hole. Also, watch for specials at The Axe Hole. Both located downtown.
