Beckley’s Annual Cruise-in Car & Bike Show will be held on Friday, July 17 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in Uptown Beckley.  Vehicle registration ($10) will be held at Word Park (Neville Street) between 6:00 and 7:00 pm; the first 100 to register will receive a dash plaque.  Specialty awards from City departments, other organizations and judges’ choice in several categories will be presented at 8:30 p.m. along with door prizes. Note that Trike category trophies (from the June bike show) will be presented during this show.

The public is invited to visit the show to view the rides and enjoy free live music by Still Standing at the Word Park gazebo from 6:30 to 8:30.  The Still Standing trio performs a variety of oldies, pop, rock & country and the band will be joined by guest Matt Rivenbark during the second hour. Several food vendors and family fun will be included at the event.

Neville Street Market – next market will be Saturday, July 18 from 8am to 1 pm. Art, crafts, collectibles, produce and other products are welcome.  The market is celebrating “Christmas in July” on the 18th. More activities are being planned at the market thru August including celebrating National Farmers Market Week, Exercise with Your Child Week, International Youth Day, National Cupcake Day, Wellness Outreaches, tomato/salsa contests, and grilled corn on the cob day.

National Dance Day with the Red Cross – July 25 is National Dance Day. To celebrate, the Red Cross is offering a “Dance up a Storm” event Saturday evening at the Beckley Intermodal Gateway Plaza.
